Example

Fill in the form: your QR code replaces this example.

How it works

Create: choose Link / text, Wi-Fi access or Contact card and fill in the fields; the preview on the right updates as you type. Pick the colours, the export size and the white margin, then download the code as a PNG image (for messages and documents) or an SVG vector (for print, sharp at any size). Read: drop a screenshot or a photo, or paste it with Ctrl+V, and the text of the code appears with a button to copy it, and one to open it when it is a web address.

Questions

Does the QR code expire, or go through your servers?

Neither. The code contains your link or text itself, not a redirection: it works forever, with no account and no tracking. It is drawn by your browser, and the page is not allowed to contact any other site.

How do guests join my Wi-Fi with a QR code?

Choose Wi-Fi access, type the network name and password exactly as on your box, and pick the security (WPA for almost every recent box). Print or display the code: iPhones and Android phones join the network when the camera points at it, without typing the password.

Can I use my own colours?

Yes, as long as the pattern stays clearly darker than the background: the tool warns you when the contrast is too low or the colours are inverted. Keep a white margin of 4 modules for the best results, especially in print.

PNG or SVG: which one should I download?

PNG is an image of the chosen size, ready for a message, a slide or a web page. SVG is a vector drawing that stays sharp at any size: choose it for posters, flyers, packaging and professional printing.

The reader finds nothing in my photo: what can I do?

Crop the image around the code, take the photo straight on, in good light and without blur, or use a screenshot instead of a photo of a screen. QR codes are read in every browser; other barcodes (EAN, Code 128…) only in browsers that read them natively, such as Chrome on Android and macOS.
