Strip hidden file data

How it works
Drop your photos (JPEG, PNG, WebP) or PDF documents. Each file is read at once and the list shows how much hidden information it carries, with a warning when it reveals a GPS position or an author. Open Details to see the author, GPS coordinates, camera, software, dates, title and keywords, and everything else found. Clean and download gives you a copy named with _clean, without that information and without any loss of quality: the image itself is not recompressed and PDF pages are untouched.
Questions
What can a photo reveal about me?
Phones store where and when the photo was taken (often your home, to a few metres), the phone model, the software, sometimes your name. Many apps keep this when you send the file as a document or by e-mail. Office documents and PDFs often carry the author’s name, the company and the software.
Are my files uploaded to clean them?
No. Reading and cleaning happen in your browser; the page is not allowed to contact any other site, and nothing is kept once you close it. That is the point: a cleaning service that receives your files sees the very information you want to remove.
Does cleaning reduce the quality?
No. Only the information blocks are removed; the image data is copied byte for byte, so the picture is exactly the same. The colour profile and the orientation are kept, so colours and rotation look identical.
Which files are supported?
JPEG, PNG and WebP images, and PDF documents, up to 200 MB each; the format is recognised from the content, not the name. Other files of a batch are listed with an error and do not stop the rest. A PDF protected by a password cannot be modified.
How do I clean many photos at once?
Drop them all, then press Clean and download all at the bottom: a single file is downloaded directly, several come in one ZIP archive. Files that are already clean are left out.
